All new in El Gouna: closed circuit rebreather training with the brand-new
The progress of closed circuit rebreathers is hard to stop, and who are we to oppose this exciting new trend!!!
As there is an evergrowing demand for closed circuit rebreathers, we have taken the plunge and invested in two brand-new "Buddy Evolution" Rebreather units.
The advantages of closed circuit rebreather diving are obvious: due to the "recycling " of the exhaled breathing gas, gas consumption stays minimal and allows for much longer dives than with the conventional open system. Nitrogen saturation is reduced dramatically and allows for extended bottom times. As the exhaled breathing gas is recycled in the unit, there are no bubbles, which is a very interesting point for the photographers among you, as fish will regard you as one of themselves and not be shy. Furthermore, you will find breathing the warm and moist recycled gas very comfortable.
Special Offer: Action Day with the "Buddy Evolution"!
With the introduction of closed circuit rebreathers to our dive center, we would like a maximum of our guests to experience this fantastic "new" way of diving.
It doesn`t matter whether you have logged 30 or 300 dives, you should definitely try the "Buddy Evolution": All of a sudden, breathing doesn`t change your buoyancy at all, and the breathing is easy and flows naturally, fish regard you as one of them and suddenly, you are in the middle of them, not making any sound... and the "silent world" truly becomes silent.
Join us for an action-packed day full of new diving experiences.
An experienced instructor will guide you through this adventure, as you do two dives with the "Buddy Evolution" closed circuit rebreather.
Until the end of this year, we are offering the "Buddy Evolution" Action Day for 149 € (including everything), instead of 165 €, so don`t wait, but book it now!
There are some days in the life of a diver that are just perfect!
And about a month ago, we were lucky enough to have one of these days: the weather was perfect, the sea like silk with not a single wave anywhere in sight. On a day like this, the experienced divers just have one dive in mind: the Rosalie Moller!
With less than great visibility and depths of around 35 to 40 meters and not seldom a good surface current going, this dive offers a special challange to the more experienced divers.
The wreck rewards the divers with an abundance of fish and an unique atmosphere. The "Rosie" is also always good for a surprise. On that day, all divers were lucky enough to dive with two enourmous manta rays. Especially the rebreather divers couldn`t believe their luck, as the mantas came really close and played for a while... and as if that wasn`t enough, somebody even brought a camera and the presence of mind to capture this very special moment.
And those are the days, when even the most experienced divers remember why they chose to love this sport so much...
Diverse frog fish spotted at Syul Kebir, Blind Reef and Shaab Turtle.
"A bulbous body, jointed elbow-like pectoral fins that are used like arms, and a large mouth directed upwards..." This is how the angler or frog fish is usually described in reef guides.
This often very colourful fellow, whose first dorsal spine is modified into a "fishing rod" complete with "lure", is probably one of the most peculiar creatures a diver can encounter on the reef. They are often very well camouflaged, mimicking the neighbouring sponges and corals, and thus not at all easy to spot.
All the more we are glad to know the hiding places of some very photogenic specimen! Our guides will take great pleasure in showing you their favourite hideouts!
